Parallel to technical competence, recruitment & selection, hiring decisions will give due emphasis to assessing candidates' eligibility thorough background checks, police clearance, and professional reference check processes. Medical Teams International Calling: Daring to love like Jesus, we boldly break barriers to health and restore wholeness in a hurting world.  JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The Logistics Intern is responsible for supporting logistics activities in Gondar Office EthiopiaJOB RESPONSIBILITIESSupport supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, transport, shipping, warehousing, asset management; apply distribution control techniques to optimize stock levelsSupport procurement process in accordance with MTI and donor policies and procedures, in a transparent, accountable, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner, negotiating prices and proposing new suppliers to be validatedTrack vendor contracts and work closely with user departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation; support timely vendor payment by submitting all required documentation in accordance with schedulesTrack all organization equipment and assets.Support occasional monitoring of inventory and assets to verify condition and proper use of propertyAssist in planning of office management needs including purchasing of office suppliesSupport safety and security tasks as delegatedSupport the development database of suppliers of goods and servicesSupport safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies.
