BPIL is recruiting a Key Accounts Manager – HORECA to join our team at our Head Office location. This is a full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda.
Job Purpose
The Key Accounts Manager – HORECA is responsible for developing and meeting sales and profit budgets in the channel by utilizing all available tools and resources. The incumbent will negotiate at key account levels to achieve the company's annual objectives and manage resources to ensure that all major and strategic customers are effectively serviced. The position holder is expected to follow all set rules, regulations, and guidelines while ensuring the accomplishment of goals and targets set by Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage major customer relationships and ensure sales and margin budgets are achieved
- Understand both customer and BPIL strategy and ensure full implementation
- Drive channel sales through the sales team
- Work with the promotions team to create demand in specific channels
- Manage the performance of in-store merchandiser promoters
- Coordinate quarterly price research and report relevant findings to the National Sales Manager for decision-making purposes
- Ensure customers are regularly stocked, process timely banking, and submit sales reports on a weekly basis
- Continuously visit customers to maximize sales volume in assigned areas, recruit and service existing customers by route, and ensure maximum product and brand visibility with competitive trade marketing strategies
