Human Resources Intern

About the Role

NIC General Insurance Company Limited seeks a dedicated Human Resources Intern to support the HR team in Kampala. In this role, you will gain practical experience in recruitment, employee records management, performance monitoring, and staff engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in posting job advertisements and screening candidate applications
• Help organize induction sessions for new hires
• Maintain and update employee files and HR databases
• Support payroll preparation by providing attendance and leave records
• Assist in coordinating staff training and development programs
• Participate in employee engagement and wellness initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Graduation in 2024 or later
• Basic understanding of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong confidentiality, organization, and interpersonal skills
