In partnership with Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and UNHCR, PALM Corps is implementing an education programme in refugee-hosting districts.

Position Overview

To address critical staffing gaps and expand access to quality education, PALM Corps invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to fill Deputy Headteacher positions across three refugee settlements.

Positions Available

• Imvepi Refugee Settlement: 8 positions
• Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement: 12 positions

Location

Imvepi Refugee Settlement, Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement, and Bidibidi Refugee Settlements, Uganda

Employment Type

Full-time

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Headteacher

Key Responsibilities

• Support school administration and teacher supervision
• Ensure discipline, performance monitoring, and learner welfare
• Assist in stakeholder engagement and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Education (Degree preferred)
• At least 2 years leadership experience
• Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) registration required

General Requirements

• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding principles
• Ability to work in hardship and multicultural environments
• Recommendation letter confirming good conduct (no protection violations)
