Senior Engineer (Urban Water Supply And Sanitation)

Position Overview

The Public Service Commission is recruiting a Senior Engineer (Urban Water Supply and Sanitation) for a full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda. The incumbent will report to the Principal Engineer and play a key role in advancing Uganda's water and sanitation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the formulation and review of national policies for the water sector
• Participate in the formulation and review of national plans for urban water supplies and sanitation
• Conduct appraisal, feasibility studies, design, procurement, and construction supervision of water supply, sewerage, and sanitation systems
• Organize and participate in coordination and management meetings within the Department
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date information on urban water supplies and sewerage services
• Participate in the formulation and review of urban water and sewerage services programmes
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Required Qualifications

• Ugandan national
• Honours Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution

Required Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience as an Engineer in Government
