About the Organization
PALM Corps (PC) is a registered National NGO committed to improving the quality of life of vulnerable populations through transformative education and community development initiatives. In partnership with Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and UNHCR, PALM Corps is implementing an education programme in refugee-hosting districts.
Position Overview
PALM Corps invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to fill Primary Trained Teacher positions across three locations:
- Imvepi – 82 positions
- Rhino Camp – 75 positions
- Bidibidi – 20 positions
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Imvepi, Rhino Camp, and Bidibidi Refugee Settlements, Uganda
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons
- Conduct assessments and track learner progress
- Maintain class records and ensure learner safety
- Participate in co-curricular and safeguarding activities
Qualifications Required
- Minimum Grade III Teaching Certificate
- Registration with MoES (Ministry of Education and Sports)
- At least 2 years' teaching experience (preferred)
- Diploma in Primary Education (added advantage)
General Requirements
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding principles
- Ability to work in hardship and multicultural environments
- Recommendation letter confirming good conduct (no protection violations)
