About the Position
FHI 360 is seeking a suitably qualified Senior Regional Technical Officer for Care & Treatment in Police & Prisons (PnP) to support the EpiC project in Tanzania. This is a full-time position based in Mbeya.
Project Background
The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control. The project provides strategic technical assistance and delivers lifesaving activities to achieve HIV epidemic control and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case finding, treatment programming, and viral load suppression.
Job Summary
Provide technical support for the implementation and scale-up of integrated, high-quality HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) services across designated health facilities and community outreach platforms. This includes supporting service delivery through facility-based healthcare providers, mobile and outreach services, index testing, partner notification, HIV self-testing (HIVST), and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate clinical service provision at the regional level, including management of point-of-care CD4 testing
- Contribute to the development, systematization, and strengthening of referral and linkage systems for HIV and AIDS care and treatment
- Monitor supply chain management and related health services
- Ensure quality and compliance in the delivery of HIV counseling and testing services
