About the Organization

Mkulazi Holding Company Limited (MHCL) is a reputable organization seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Instrumentation Artisan. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Instrumentation Technician and will support installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and control systems within processing and power generation environments.

Role Overview

This role requires practical technical skills in instrumentation systems, field devices, and process control equipment to ensure accurate measurement, reliable operations, and minimal production interruptions. You will assist in maintaining instrumentation systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related control systems in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain field instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level indicators
• Assist in calibration and troubleshooting of control loops and instrumentation systems for accurate process control
• Support inspection and maintenance of PLCs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation wiring
• Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and documentation of instrumentation equipment
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new instruments and control systems
• Support maintenance teams during plant shutdowns and start-up operations
• Maintain accurate records of instrument calibrations, repairs, and replacements
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in instrumentation activities
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams
