Utilities Operator

About the Role

The Utilities Operator is responsible for the operation of utilities sections including steam plant, carbon dioxide plant, air plant, water treatment plants, refrigeration, and BTS plant. This role involves executing quality control checks, monitoring plant operations, and providing technical support for utilities systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor utilities equipment performance and measure performance attributes
• Conduct first line maintenance tasks and scheduled maintenance
• Apply safety and environmental procedures in the workplace
• Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping, and risk-free standards
• Optimize production performance and operate plant and process equipment to standard
• Apply VPO methodology for driving performance improvements
• Monitor processes and interpret production plans
• Maintain utilities operation and ensure quality control of utilities supply
• Report plant, machine, and process problems promptly
• Conduct autonomous operator maintenance and operator breakdown maintenance tasks
• Work effectively in teams and communicate clearly in the workplace
• Contribute to self and team development
• Prepare boilers for government inspections
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Minimum two years' relevant experience
