Fitter Mechanics – Workshop

About the Position

Mkulazi Holding Company Limited (MHCL) invites qualified and experienced Tanzanians to apply for the position of Fitter Mechanics – Workshop. The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor Pump and Gearbox and will be responsible for installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and components within the workshop environment.

This role requires practical mechanical fitting skills, equipment alignment expertise, and the ability to support maintenance activities for pumps, gearboxes, and related machinery. The selected candidate will ensure that mechanical systems are properly installed, maintained, and repaired in line with operational standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, align, and fit mechanical equipment, machinery, and components
• Prepare spare parts required for planned maintenance activities
• Replace worn or defective machine parts using appropriate tools and techniques
• Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and documentation of spare parts usage
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Support workshop operations and assist in mechanical maintenance tasks
• Perform any other lawful duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Form IV certificate
• NTA Level III Certificate in Fitter Mechanics or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge of mechanical fitting, assembly, and alignment procedures
• Ability to use mechanical tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
