About the Position

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) seeks a dedicated Assistant Lecturer to join the Curriculum and Instruction department. This is a full-time position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undergo an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before
• Carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars, and practicals for undergraduate programmes
• Prepare and present case studies
• Conduct and publish/disseminate research results
• Recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support
• Participate in consultancies and community services under supervision
• Attend workshops, conferences, and symposia
• Perform other duties as assigned by relevant authorities

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Master's Degree in one of the following fields from a recognized university:
  • Curriculum and Instruction
  • Education Technology
  • Master of Science in Education
  • Science Education
  Minimum GPA: 4.0 out of 5
• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields from a recognized university:
  • Science Education
  • Bachelor of Science with Education
  • Bachelor of Education in Science
  Minimum GPA: 3.8 out of 5
