Tutorial Assistant – (Community Development)

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is inviting applications for a Tutorial Assistant position in Community Development.

Position Type

Full-time training post based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

About the Role

This is a training position where successful candidates will undertake postgraduate development while contributing to academic activities within the Community Development department.

Key Responsibilities

• Undergo a Master's Degree training programme
• Complete an induction course in pedagogic skills (for those without prior teaching experience)
• Understudy senior members through attendance at lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical training sessions
• Assist in conducting tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions
• Support research, consultancy, and outreach activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by relevant authorities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Community Development
  • Rural Development
  • Community Economic Development
  • Cooperatives and Community Development
  • International Development
• Minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university
