Position Overview

Alliance Life is building the most formidable retail life insurance franchise in East Africa. We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Retail Distribution (Individual Life Insurance Business) to lead our retail business and operations across the entire Tanzanian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the individual life insurance business across Tanzania
• Oversee the performance of the retail distribution network
• Drive sales to achieve multiplier business growth targets
• Manage full retail growth and profit center accountability including GWP, expense ratio, persistency, and net profitability
• Co-design and execute multi-year retail life sales and distribution strategy, operating model, and annual business plan
• Drive retail business profitability through increased production, optimized costs, and customer satisfaction
• Lead new-age digital transformation initiatives
• Scale up banca retail business and establish alternate channels such as HNW, direct, online, and digital
• Drive product development strategy from product ideation onwards
