Electrical Technician

About the Organization

Mkulazi Holding Company Limited (MHCL) is inviting qualified and experienced Tanzanians to apply for the position of Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Engineer and will be responsible for supporting installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the factory and agricultural facilities.

Role Overview

This role requires strong technical competence in electrical systems, power distribution, installation works, and maintenance operations to ensure continuous and reliable plant performance. The selected candidate will support power generation monitoring, electrical fault diagnosis, and safe execution of electrical works in compliance with technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and installations
• Assist in the operation and monitoring of power generation systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Execute electrical installation works under supervision of senior staff
• Ensure proper wiring, cabling, and electrical connections according to technical standards
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness in electrical work areas
• Safeguard tools, equipment, and materials used in electrical maintenance work
• Adhere to electrical safety procedures and operational standards
• Prepare basic maintenance reports and records of work performed
• Assist in testing and commissioning of newly installed electrical equipment
• Report abnormalities and malfunctions promptly
