Assistant Lecturer - Animal Science

About the Role

Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) seeks a dedicated Assistant Lecturer in Animal Science to support undergraduate education and research in this dynamic field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undergo an induction course in pedagogic skills for those without prior teaching experience
• Carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars, and practicals for undergraduate programmes
• Prepare and present case studies
• Conduct and publish/disseminate research results
• Recognize students experiencing difficulties and provide appropriate help and support
• Participate in consultancies and community services under supervision
• Attend workshops, conferences, and symposia
• Perform other duties as assigned by relevant authorities

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in either Tropical Animal Production or Animal Sciences from a recognized university
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from a recognized university
• Minimum GPA of 4.0 for MSc degree
• Minimum GPA of 3.8 for BSc degree
