About the Position

We are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to fill the Senior Technical Officer, Strategic Information position in Dar es Salaam for the EpiC project in Tanzania.

The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control by providing strategic technical assistance and delivery of lifesaving activities. EpiC aims to achieve HIV epidemic control and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case finding, treatment programming, and viral load suppression.

Job Summary

The Senior Technical Officer, Strategic Information will support the Strategic Information Director in the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities across EpiC-supported regions in Tanzania. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to EpiC staff, Police and Prison teams, community-based organizations, healthcare providers (HCPs), community health workers (CHWs), and local government counterparts to strengthen strategic information systems at facility and subnational levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to strengthen Strategic Information systems at facility and subnational levels
• Support the enhancement of data management processes and data visualization
• Develop analytical tools for routine program monitoring
• Facilitate data analysis and interpretation to generate actionable insights that inform program decisions
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of State (DoS) and EpiC reporting standards
