General Manager

About the Role

We are a dynamic, expanding company seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our business operations. The GM will be responsible for leading production, sales, finance, and overall business performance, while directing department heads across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute company strategy
• Set sales targets and growth plans
• Lead department heads across production, sales, finance, and HR

Production & Operations Oversight

• Monitor manufacturing of non-woven bags
• Ensure efficiency, quality control, and cost management
• Oversee procurement of raw materials (polypropylene and related materials)

Sales & Market Expansion

• Identify new markets and client opportunities
• Build relationships with distributors and corporate buyers
• Monitor pricing strategy and competitive landscape

Financial Management

• Develop and manage budgets with strict cost control
• Oversee profit and loss (P&L) management
• Prepare financial reports for owners and directors

Required Qualifications & Experience

Professional Background

• 7–10+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
• Preferably in packaging or non-woven products manufacturing

Manufacturing Knowledge

• Understanding of non-woven fabric production
• Knowledge of bag-making processes (cutting, stitching, printing)
• Familiarity with quality standards and compliance requirements

Leadership & Decision-Making

• Strong ability to lead and manage large teams
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Commercial & Negotiation Skills

• Strong negotiation abilities with suppliers and clients
• Expertise in pricing strategy and contract management

Financial & Analytical Skills

• Proficiency in budget control and cost reduction
• Data-driven decision-making approach

Technical Competencies

• Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools
• Knowledge of supply chain management
• Understanding of import/export procedures (if applicable)
• Knowledge of environmental regulations relevant to the non-woven and packaging industry

Communication Skills

• Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication abilities
