Night Shunter / Dispatcher

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shunter/Dispatcher to manage the seamless operation of our fleet during night hours. This is a full-time position working night shifts only.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch buses for night operations, ensuring timely departures and arrivals
• Safely maneuver and park buses within the depot
• Move buses on and off the wash bay for night cleaners, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly
• Oversee the cleaning process and perform quality checks to ensure buses are cleaned to company standards
• Conduct pre- and post-trip checks to ensure vehicle readiness
• Communicate effectively with drivers, maintenance team, and Operations personnel on duty to address operational issues
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, vehicle movements, and cleaning checklists
• Perform minor fleet maintenance, including safety belt replacement, light bulb installations, and trailer plug repairs

Requirements

• EC driver's license with PrDP (non-negotiable)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
• Proactive attitude and attention to detail
• Computer literate, specifically in MS Office Suite
