About the Organization

COOPEC IKIRENGA is a Financial Service Cooperative operating in the Northern Province of Rwanda under the supervision of the National Bank of Rwanda. The organization was established in 2024 through the merger of five SACCOs (COOPEC ITI, COOPEC CODEMARU, CSTCR SACCO, CSPKI, and TRASO), which now operate as its branches. COOPEC IKIRENGA is headquartered in Rulindo district, Base Sector, Rwamahwa Cell, Base Village.

Position Overview

COOPEC IKIRENGA is seeking a competent and qualified Credit Analyst to join its team. The Credit Analyst will work under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Credit, performing critical loan analysis and portfolio management functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications from branches and outlets; provide advice to loan officers at branch and outlet levels
• Ensure adherence to loan policies for all loans before approval or rejection
• Provide recommendations to the Managing Director, Credit Committee, and Board of Directors regarding changes to lending policy and procedures
• Oversee the quality of the loan portfolio and regularly discuss proposed improvement measures with branch loan officers
• Prepare loan-related reports for internal and external stakeholders (including BNR and RCA)
• Act as liaison and point of contact for loan officers in the branches
• Support the loan analysis process and provide technical advice to the Staff Committee and Credit Committee to facilitate final decisions within approval limits
• Support credit risk measurement and stress testing activities
• Actively participate in updating policy and procedure manuals related to lending
• Conduct quality assurance assessments of loans disbursed at branches
• Evaluate the SACCO's lending performance annually
