Background

Wildlife Conservation Initiative (WCI) is a Rwanda-based non-profit organization focused on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community livelihoods. Under its restoration program, WCI is implementing activities including nursery development, site preparation, and tree planting.

To ensure efficient implementation and compliance with financial and tax regulations, WCI invites qualified individuals or firms to submit technical and financial proposals for the provision of field operations management and tax advisory services.

Objective

The objective is to engage a competent service provider to manage field implementation costs and activities related to seedling production, site preparation, and tree planting, while also providing advisory support on employment taxation and statutory compliance.

Scope of Work

The selected service provider will be responsible for managing and paying casual workers involved in seedling production, site preparation, and tree planting activities. This includes maintaining accurate worker records, timesheets, and proof of payments, while ensuring compliance with employment taxation and statutory requirements.

Seedling Activities Management

• Hiring and payment of casual labor involved in seeding activities

Site Preparation and Tree Planting

• Payment of casual workers involved in land clearing, hole digging, and transportation of seedlings
• Management of planted trees

Tax Advisory and Compliance

• Provide guidance on employment taxation
• Calculate statutory obligations
• Support preparation and submission of tax returns in compliance with Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) requirements

Deliverables

• Submit periodic (every two months) progress and financial reports
