Primary Purpose of the Position

The Child Protection Caseworker is responsible for the identification, assessment, case management, referral, and follow-up of children at risk or affected by protection concerns. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, child-centered, and confidential services in line with international child protection standards, national child protection systems, and organizational safeguarding policies.

The Caseworker works closely with Child Protection Officers, community structures, and service providers to ensure timely, safe, and appropriate responses to children in need of protection.

Key Responsibilities

Case Identification and Registration

• Identify vulnerable children and child protection cases through outreach, referrals, and community-based mechanisms
• Register cases in accordance with case management procedures and confidentiality standards
• Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to service provision

Case Management

• Conduct comprehensive case management including assessment, case planning, implementation, follow-up, and case closure
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the child and caregiver where appropriate
• Monitor progress and update case plans regularly

Referral and Service Linkage

• Ensure timely referrals to appropriate services
