Chief Factory Electrician 

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Chief Factory Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and managing all electrical systems and equipment within the factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out rewinding of motors and other electrical equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and rectify electrical faults as required
• Participate in installation of electrical systems
• Conduct wiring of equipment and commissioning according to approved procedures
• Maintain electrical equipment within set quality standards
• Ensure sound maintenance and operation of generators
• Ensure availability of power as required
• Participate in electrical modifications according to approved procedures
• Verify electrical spare parts received in stores
• Liaise with other departments on equipment maintenance
• Implement preventive maintenance programs according to approved procedures
• Observe and comply with environmental, health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Observe and comply with Quality and Food Safety Standards
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering/Electrical Technology) from a recognized institution
• At least six (6) years of working experience in electrical works
• Computer literate

Preferred Qualifications

• Tea processing experience
