Public Relations and Communication Officer

About the Organization

The National Council of Nurses and Midwives (NCNM) is a regulatory body established by Law № 25/2008. Its principal function is to protect the public from any harm that may result from the practice of a nurse or midwife by setting standards of education and practice, as well as registering only those who are eligible and competent to practice.

Position Overview

The NCNM is seeking a dependable and competent Public Relations and Communication Officer to join its team. This position reports to the Registrar.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Linguistics and Literature, or International Relations

• Ability to understand and apply fundamental concepts and principles related to investigating facts, gathering and packaging of information for effective delivery to audiences
• Ability to develop and implement communications initiatives using appropriate tools and channels

• Verbal, non-verbal, written and digital literacy skills
• Knowledge of online communication tools with special emphasis on audio-visual production and dissemination

• Fluency in speaking and writing in Kinyarwanda, English, and/or French (fluency in all national languages is an added advantage)
