Machapala Group is recruiting for its subsidiary, Machame Refineries, a fast-growing energy company commissioning a state-of-the-art pyrolysis plant in Nyenga, Jinja. The plant will convert waste tyres and plastics into pyrolysis oil and other sustainable fuels, contributing to industrial energy solutions and circular economy development.

Job Summary

The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the reliability of all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant to support uninterrupted operations. This role represents an excellent career development opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved schedules and standards
• Promptly diagnose and repair mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns
• Carry out equipment inspections, servicing, and repairs effectively to ensure optimal performance
• Plan and execute shutdown and maintenance activities efficiently
• Accurately maintain spare parts usage and maintenance records

Requirements

• Relevant craft certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of four (4) years' experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
• Strong hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repairs
