Vaal Real Estate Uganda Limited is seeking a dynamic IT Support Officer to join our expanding team.

Job Type

Full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and access issues
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and escalate complex issues to IT Manager
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Perform scheduled system maintenance, updates, patches, antivirus scans, and performance checks
• Support LAN, wireless connectivity, internet services, and basic server access
• Manage IT helpdesk system – log, track, prioritize, and resolve tickets within SLAs
• Support user lifecycle activities including onboarding/offboarding, account management, access control, and password resets
• Provide end-user training on systems, applications, and cybersecurity awareness
• Enforce IT security standards, access control, data protection, and device security policies
• Maintain IT asset registers, system documentation, and configuration records
• Identify recurring issues and recommend technical solutions or improvements
• Support IT projects including system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure improvements
