Accounts Relationship Officers (Credit Officers)-Acacia

Position Overview

Vaal Real Estate is recruiting for an Accounts Relationship Officer (Credit Officer) to manage client accounts and ensure timely settlement of instalment payments under signed purchase agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively follow up with clients on instalment balances due under signed purchase agreements
• Contact clients via phone, email, and meetings to ensure timely settlement and prevent arrears
• Monitor payment schedules, identify defaults, and initiate early engagement
• Negotiate and document structured repayment arrangements for overdue accounts
• Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and follow-up outcomes
• Provide up-to-date account statements and payment explanations
• Collaborate with the Credit Control Officer to align recovery actions with reconciled records
• Coordinate with Sales and Legal Departments on payment obligations versus contractual terms
• Escalate unresolved arrears and support legal processes with account histories
• Prepare regular reports for the Head of Finance on arrears status and collection performance
• Safeguard company reputation with professional, sensitive collection activities
