8 Job Overview WEST SECURITY SERVICES LTD is looking for an experienced and disciplined Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our company’s fiscal health. We are seeking a mature professional who can bring stability and expertise to our finance department. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Tanzanian accounting standards. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax. Payroll Management: Process employee salaries and ensure all deductions and benefits are correctly calculated. Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits to maintain transparency. Budgeting & Analysis: Monitor company expenditures against budgets and provide reports on financial variances to management. Accounts Receivable/Payable: Manage billing for clients and ensure all vendor payments are processed efficiently. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA-T or equivalent is a plus). Professionalism: A mature candidate (aged 35+) with strong leadership qualities and ethical conduct. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Communication: Fluent in both Swahili and English.
