Background

AgroPy Ltd is a Rwanda-based formulator and manufacturer of organic and eco-friendly products for agriculture, veterinary, and public health pest control applications, including mosquito control. The company's key botanical insecticide active ingredient is Pyrethrum Pale Extract, containing pyrethrins extracted from Pyrethrum flowers grown by local farmers and processed locally.

AgroPy Ltd operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) that complies with three management system requirements: ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.

Rationale

AgroPy Ltd is pursuing regulatory approval and certification, including GMP Certificate and Product Registration Certificate, from Rwanda's regulatory agencies and regional national regulatory authorities (NRAs). Product certification is a key focus area to ensure that all products are manufactured in full compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.

As regulatory agencies strengthen enforcement requirements, staff training is essential to ensure compliance with manufactured product standards and to support the evaluation of data submitted in dossiers to the Rwanda FDA and other foreign NRAs.

Expected Results

• Conduct a systematic assessment to determine AgroPy Ltd's compliance with quality systems and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for regulatory compliance and certification readiness
• Obtain the GMP Certificate
• Compile registration documents according to regulatory standards for product registration
• Provide training to staff on GMP requirements and regulatory compliance procedures
