Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Limited is seeking to recruit Project Engineer.
Position Title: Project Engineer – 161kV Transmission Line & Substation Relocation Project
Job Purpose
•To coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning activities to ensure successful implementation of the 161kV transmission line and substation relocation works.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project execution.
- Coordinate engineering deliverables, construction activities, and contractor performance.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design submissions.
- Monitor project schedules and track engineering milestones.
- Coordinate procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
- Conduct technical evaluations and resolve engineering issues.
- Interface between design teams, site teams, contractors, and client representatives.
- Support construction supervision and commissioning activities.
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
- BSc in Electrical Engineering.
- PMP certification required.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in transmission line and substation engineering projects.
- Experience with EPC projects and utility infrastructure development.
- Knowledge of transmission line and substation design principles.
- Experience working on high-voltage transmission and substation projects (161kV or above preferred).
- Strong knowledge of utility standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and remote project locations.
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/project management software.
- Commitment to quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work under demanding schedules while maintaining high professional standards.
- Technical project coordination.
