About the Position
The Governing Council of Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) College of Education, Amedzofe invites applications from suitably qualified and competent candidates for the position of Principal.
The Principal serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the College and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic and administrative direction for the smooth operation of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the achievement of the college's vision and mission
- Oversee the administration of academic programmes and ensure quality teacher education
- Ensure high academic standards and quality assurance across all programmes
- Supervise curriculum development and programme accreditation
- Promote innovation in teaching methods and educational delivery
- Manage human, financial and material resources of the college
- Promote research, innovation and community engagement
- Ensure discipline and compliance with statutes, policies and regulations
- Represent the college in all official matters
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Distinguished scholar status
- Professorial rank
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or equivalent qualification in a relevant area of specialisation
- Minimum of 10 years teaching and research experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior management position
- Evidence of scholarly research and publications
- Strong leadership, administrative and communicative skills
- Ability to foster partnerships with stakeholders both within and outside Ghana
- Experience in resource mobilization and fundraising
- Ability to manage human resources effectively
