Sales Agent – Signage & Branding

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Kayma Signs is looking for an energetic, results-driven Sales Agent with specific experience in the signage and large-format printing industry. This is not a "desk job." You will be the face of Kayma Signs, meeting clients on-site, conducting site surveys, and providing expert advice on the best branding solutions. You must understand the difference between substrates (PVC, Chromadek, Acrylic) and be able to translate a client’s vision into a technical brief for our production team. Requirements:

• Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in signage, outdoor advertising, or corporate branding sales.

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read floor plans and perform accurate on-site measurements.

• Material Expertise: Strong understanding of signage substrates, vinyl types, and finishing options (e.g., lamination, 3D fabrication).

• Driver’s License: Valid license and reliable vehicle are essential for site visits and client meetings.

• Software: Basic proficiency in CorelDRAW or Illustrator (to view/tweak client files) and CRM/quoting software.

• Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Generation: Proactively identify and reach out to new business opportunities in the Durban area.

• Site Surveys: Visit client locations to take precise measurements and assess installation requirements (height, surface type, visibility).

• Quoting & Proposals: Generate accurate cost estimates based on material usage and labor.

• Technical Liaison: Work closely with the design and production team to ensure client expectations match production capabilities.

• Project Management: Follow up on jobs from the initial deposit through to successful installation and final payment.

• Problem Solver: You can look at a tricky wall or shopfront and suggest the right mounting solution.

• Target-Driven: Motivated by closing deals and achieving monthly sales growth.

• Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Durban/Westville business landscape.

Advantage- Existing network/database of property developers, architects, or retail managers.

• Prior experience in vehicle branding or illuminated (LED) signage
