Microfinance Officer at South Akim Community Bank

Job Summary

South Akim Community Bank is seeking qualified professionals to fill the position of Microfinance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting, formation, and training of groups while managing loan operations and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for loan customers and conduct loan appraisals
• Undertake daily loan recovery exercises
• Form and train microfinance groups
• Supervise Mobile Bankers (Susu Collectors)
• Reconcile passbooks and customer accounts
• Conduct customer visitations and manage loan recovery

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HND or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional qualification (Part II or above) such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, or CIMA
• Minimum 2 years of experience in microfinance activities
• Banking operations experience is an added advantage

Required Competencies & Skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of T24 banking software (advantageous)
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
• Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good numeracy and coordination skills
• Valid motor riding license and ability to ride a motorbike
• Age between 25 and 30 years at time of application
