About the Role

Obor Import Export is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing company finances and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, VAT, and regulatory requirements
• Handle tax filings, audits, and liaise with external auditors
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure accurate recording of import-related costs (duties, taxes, forex, etc.)
• Improve financial processes and internal controls
• Supervise and support junior accounting staff

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience
