## Title: HR and Administration Officer

About the Organization

Development through Adult and Non-Formal Education (DANFE) is a local Civil Society Organization established in July 2004 by dedicated volunteers committed to supporting vulnerable community groups. Since its establishment, DANFE has worked on both development and humanitarian interventions, including humanitarian support, survivor-centered protection, gender-based violence services, emergency education response, support for internally displaced persons, accelerated learning programs for out-of-school children, women's economic empowerment, climate change-resilient livelihoods, and peacebuilding and conflict prevention.

Position Details

  • Position Title: HR and Administration Officer
  • Number of Positions: One
  • Location: Addis Ababa, Head Office
  • Employment Type: 1-year fixed contract with possibility of extension
  • Reports to: Finance and Administration Head
  • Salary: As per organization salary scale

Role Overview

The HR and Administration Officer will manage daily office operations while handling employee-related tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll input, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee records, including new hire onboarding, terminations, and updating employee information in the HRIS system
  • Assist with recruitment activities, such as posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Coordinate and organize employee training sessions and maintain training records
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Monitor and manage employee time off requests, including sick leave, vacation, and personal days
  • Assist with the preparation of HR-related reports and presentations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters
  • Maintain compliance with local labor laws and regulations
