Position Overview
The General Service Officer will ensure the efficient flow of materials and the smooth operation of MERQ's office environment. This position is responsible for meticulous management of inventory, coordination of office functions, and provision of essential support to various departments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Office Support
- Perform clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, printing, and document preparation
- Monitor office supply levels and proactively identify shortages by placing orders and coordinating with relevant personnel
- Address office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues promptly to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and minimize disruptions
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance as needed
- Provide support to Logistics, Procurement, and HR departments with administrative tasks and document preparation
- Greet and assist all visitors, clients, and vendors upon arrival, providing a professional and welcoming point of contact for the office
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel
