Group Finance Director

Position Overview

The Group Finance Director is responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, governance, and performance management of Great Abyssinia Group (GAG) across all subsidiaries and business units. This role ensures financial integrity, strategic financial planning, and effective resource allocation to support the group's growth, profitability, and sustainability objectives.

The position provides executive leadership over all finance functions including financial planning, reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, audit, and compliance. The Group Finance Director plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making, managing financial risks, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring alignment of financial operations across the group.

This role requires a highly strategic, commercially driven, and results-oriented leader capable of managing complex, multi-sector financial operations and driving financial excellence at the group level.

Key Responsibilities

Group Financial Strategy and Leadership

• Develop and lead the overall financial strategy aligned with the group's vision and growth objectives
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the Group CEO and executive leadership team
• Support investment decisions, business expansion, and capital allocation across subsidiaries
• Drive long-term financial sustainability and value creation

Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Management

• Lead group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Consolidate financial plans across all subsidiaries and ensure alignment with strategic targets
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs
• Analyze variances and drive corrective actions to achieve financial goals

Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation

• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
