Position Overview

The Deputy Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager by overseeing daily financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, tax filing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. This role involves preparing financial reports, managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, analyzing trends for decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
• Assist in drafting company budgets and monitor financial performance against forecasts
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and maintain the General Ledger
• Ensure all financial activities comply with legal standards, policies, and regulations, and assist with audits
• Oversee bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and tax filing processes
• Monitor day-to-day financial operations including payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
• Oversee financial department employees, including cost and budget management and accountants
• Collect, interpret, and review financial information
• Predict future financial trends and develop long-term plans based on reports
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for improvement
• Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
• Seek methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
• Assist in training staff and cover for the Finance Manager as needed
