Core Group Partners Project (CGPP) Field Officer

Position Overview

The CGPP Field Officer is responsible for project planning, implementation, and performance oversight of all CGPP project activities within the respective Woreda. The Field Officer provides integrated technical assistance across all project thematic areas—including Maternal, Newborn, Child Health (MNCH), Nutrition, and Health Security—to Woreda Health Offices, Health Centers, and Health Posts (PHCUs). The Field Officer supervises the field team, ensuring that all program activities and resources are managed effectively, transparently, and aligned with funding requirements, Core Group Ethiopia secretariat, and the project's strategic objectives.

Organization Background

The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission (EECMY-DASSC) is a faith-based organization operating in Ethiopia since 2000. Headquartered in Addis Ababa, it operates over 40 branch offices across Ethiopia and manages health institutions, hospitals, and clinics in western Ethiopia.

EECMY-DASSC has extensive experience managing large-scale health programs, particularly in Oromia, Amhara, Southwest Ethiopia, and Gambella regions. The organization manages more than 17 health projects, reaching over 1 million people with services including:

• Immunization
• Primary health care
• Maternal and child health
• Nutrition
• HIV/AIDS prevention

Notable projects include the Core Group Partners Project (CGPP), Emergency Polio & Immunization Response, and GAVI-CSO Projects. EECMY-DASSC works with over 40 international donors with a strong focus on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), participatory planning, and strong accountability mechanisms to ensure high-quality implementation.
