Branch Operation Supervisor

Purpose of the Job

To support the Branch's customer service delivery and operational efficiency by ensuring prompt and careful cash delivery, movement, and collection, maintaining vault control, and reconciling accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Authorize transactions originated by customer service officers and verify the correctness of all transactions, taking corrective measures whenever irregularities occur
• Ensure all books of accounts are in balance, follow up on reconciliation of suspense accounts, and prepare all financial reports for the Branch
• Maintain custody of cheques, payment instruments, and passbooks
• Manage printed check books received from the Branch Manager and ensure proper delivery to current account holders
• Open and administer the Primary Vault jointly with the Branch Manager and solely administer the Secondary Vault
• Initiate cash consignments to and from Treasury while maintaining the established cash holding limit of the Branch
• Supply cash against signature to the cashier for daily operations and make necessary replenishments
• Receive, verify, lodge, and withdraw cash to and from Primary and Secondary Vaults, and post related transactions in the system
• Open and assign tills for Customer Service Officers and control their till limits
• Collect and deliver cash to and from Customer Service Officers
• Authorize transfer of cash from Vault to Till and from Till to Vault
• Check and balance the cash position against the system
• Close tills at close of business and during breaks, confirming overall cash balance
• Manage cash areas and respond to customer inquiries on cash activity
• Assist Customer Service Officers in handling and counting bulk cash deposits and withdrawals
