Associate Inspector

Position Overview

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for the role of Associate Inspector within the Inspection Department. This position reports to the Manager, Inspection Department and operates under general supervision in accordance with company policies, procedures, and established accreditations aligned with national and international conformity assessment standards.

Key Functions

• Undertake all types of sampling, inspection, impurity determination, and grading activities
• Develop and implement inspection schedules
• Assign and review inspection reports of junior inspectors
• Coach and support junior inspectors in their development
• Adhere to pertinent national and international conformity assessment standards, procedures, and requirements, particularly ISO/IEC 17020
• Participate in training, consulting, research, and development activities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake non-highly complex types of sample taking and inspections for certification in accordance with company policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements, as well as national and international conformity assessment standards and procedures, particularly ISO/IEC 17020
• Develop sample taking and inspection schedules and ensure their efficient and timely implementation
• Assist in the design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate operating systems procedures, manuals, guidelines, and instructions in accordance with national and international standards and requirements, particularly in compliance with ISO/IEC 17020
• Inspect food and food ingredients on the basis of food safety requirements, national and international standards, and customer requirements
• Record and report regulatory violations
• Select and take samples, ensure proper handling and disposal of samples, and undertake impurity determination and grading activities
