Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Position Overview

CCECC Ethiopian Branch is seeking experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineers to lead electrical design for new and ongoing construction projects. We are hiring 2 positions: 1 specializing in Power System Design and 1 specializing in IT Network/Weak Current System Design.

Job Summary

The successful candidates will independently complete full project designs from concept to final documentation for large-scale office buildings and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for designing power supply and distribution systems, IT network systems, data centers, and Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring compliance with Ethiopian standards and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design and prepare technical documentation for electrical systems in buildings
• Develop power supply and distribution systems (Power System Design role)
• Design IT network systems, weak current systems, data centers, and BMS systems (IT System Design role)
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings using CAD and other engineering software
• Ensure all designs meet Ethiopian design standards, codes, and safety requirements
• Lead coordination efforts with other design disciplines for fully integrated project solutions
• Participate in technical reviews and project meetings
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in power system design and/or weak current/IT network system design
• Ability to independently complete full project designs
• Strong technical documentation and CAD skills
• Knowledge of Ethiopian design standards and international best practices
• Experience with large-scale office buildings and infrastructure projects
