Project Background

FHI 360 has been awarded a Catalytic Opportunity Fund (COF) grant to support the Government of Ethiopia in preparing for the national introduction and scale-up of quality-assured hormonal IUD. This pre-introduction project aims to:

• Conduct a comprehensive market assessment
• Develop a validated Costed Introduction Plan (CIP)
• Update national monitoring and logistics systems
• Enhance social and behavior change (SBC) materials

The success of this project is highly dependent on effective collaboration and coordination among a wide range of stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Family Planning Technical Working Group (FP TWG), Engender Health, UNFPA, WHO, and other local and international partners. A dedicated focus on partnership and coordination is essential to ensure alignment, avoid duplication, and build a cohesive strategy for national scale-up.

Position Overview

FHI 360 is seeking a qualified freelance consultant with adequate experience in procurement and stakeholder coordination to support this critical initiative.

Assignment Details

• Duration: May 1 – October 2026
• Total Hours: 30 working days (approximately 5 days per month)
• Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• Reporting: Direct supervision by the Ethiopia H-IUD COF Project Director

Scope of Work

Under the direct supervision of the Ethiopia H-IUD COF Project Director, the consultant will be responsible for stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies, among other key responsibilities related to the project's procurement and coordination needs.
