Position Overview

JaRco Consulting is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Education Expert for a 3-month consultancy with the possibility of extension. The consultant will play a pivotal role in a large-scale educational end-line evaluation, focusing on early grade learning outcomes. The consultant will be based in Addis Ababa but will be required to travel extensively to field sites in the Sidama region to oversee data collection activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspects of the educational evaluation, specifically utilizing the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) and Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA) frameworks
• Oversee data collection activities at field sites in the Sidama region
• Train and manage enumerators with strong leadership capabilities
• Provide advanced technical expertise in educational assessments within the Ethiopian context
