## Title: Senior Accountant

About the Role

Obor Import Export is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing company finances and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements and reports
Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, VAT, and regulatory requirements
Handle tax filings, audits, and liaise with external auditors
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
Oversee accounts payable and receivable
Ensure accurate recording of import-related costs (duties, taxes, forex, etc.)
Improve financial processes and internal controls
Supervise and support junior accounting staff

Required Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience
