Good Neighbors Ethiopia (GNE) is a field branch of Good Neighbors International, founded in 1997. GNE is committed to providing self-reliance for neighbors suffering from poverty and discrimination through sustainable development beyond aid. Since its establishment, GNE has worked to improve the lives of vulnerable populations in Ethiopia, especially children, through education, health, water and sanitation, partnership, and income generation activities.

Position Overview

Good Neighbors Ethiopia seeks to recruit a qualified and results-oriented Income Generating Activities (IGA) Officer to support the implementation of its livelihood and economic strengthening programs. The position is responsible for enhancing the economic resilience of vulnerable households by promoting sustainable income-generating initiatives and facilitating their transition toward self-reliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify viable market opportunities for income-generating activities
• Support the development of small-scale enterprises
• Provide technical guidance on business planning, financial literacy, and market linkage
• Coordinate closely with project teams, community stakeholders, and relevant partners
• Ensure effective program delivery and measurable impact at the community level
• Translate program objectives into sustainable economic outcomes
