Junior Capturing Clerk

About the Position

This is an entry-level, full-time opportunity to join Singh and Singh Accountants as a Junior Capturing Clerk. The position is based remotely with occasional in-person meetings required. This role is ideal for recently matriculated students with accounting qualifications or those currently studying accounting.

Location

Home-based / Remote with in-person meetings as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Capture cash books and process accounting records up to Trial Balance
• Process VAT returns and manage VAT submissions
• Reconcile VAT between VAT 201s and accounting records
• Update VAT reconciliations and schedules
• Raise invoices for creditor payments and customer invoices
• Process and prepare payroll documentation
• Prepare creditor, debtor, bank, and other reconciliations
• Maintain availability during normal business hours for meetings and telephone communications
• Liaise with clients in a professional manner

Requirements

• Matric with Accounting qualification
• Good numerical ability and grasp of numbers
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
• Own laptop with licensed Windows 11 operating system
• Stable internet connection
